Important Fitment Note: Includes primary timing chain, hydraulic timing chain tensioner, fixed guide rail, tensioner slide rail, exhaust camshaft sprocket, crankshaft timing gear, and mounting hardware. Clean all timing cover sealing surfaces thoroughly prior to installation and inspect the oil sump strainer for plastic fragments from old, worn guide rails. Dedicated VAG timing tools (crankshaft TDC locking pin and camshaft alignment plate) must be used to lock the engine at Top Dead Center (TDC) before releasing the tensioner.
