Description

This direct-replacement electric turbocharger diverter valve (cut-off solenoid valve) is manufactured to original equipment standards to regulate boost pressure and prevent compressor surge in VAG TSI/TFSI turbo and twincharged engines. Built with heat-resistant synthetic seals, high-strength plastic housing, and a precision electric solenoid, this valve releases excess intake boost pressure back into the intake tract when the throttle plate closes. Replacing a cracked, leaking, or electrically failed original valve resolves boost pressure drop, power loss under heavy acceleration, sluggish throttle response, check engine lights (P0299 boost pressure under-boost codes), and flutter noise from the turbocharger.

Important Fitment Note: Inspect the internal rubber diaphragm and plastic housing during removal of the old unit for fragments. Ensure the mounting mating surface on the turbocharger compressor housing is clean and free of oil sludge or debris. Always lubricate the mounting O-ring lightly with clean engine oil prior to installation to ensure a complete airtight seal and prevent tearing during torque down.
