Description
This direct-replacement engine coolant thermostat housing assembly is manufactured to original equipment standards to restore precise thermal regulation and coolant circulation in PSA 1.2 VTi / PureTech engine platforms. Constructed from high-grade, heat-stabilized composite thermoplastic, this complete unit includes a pre-installed thermostat and integrated coolant temperature sensor to withstand constant thermal cycling and coolant chemical exposure without warping, cracking, or leaking. Replacing a compromised factory thermostat housing resolves coolant leaks around the cylinder head housing flange, engine overheating, delayed engine warm-up, erratic cabin heater output, and check engine lights (P0128 coolant temperature below thermostat regulating threshold).

Important Fitment Note: Allow the engine to cool down completely before disassembly. Clean the cylinder head mounting mating face thoroughly, ensuring no residual gasket material or corrosion remains. Always install the included pre-seated rubber housing seal. Torque mounting bolts evenly in a cross pattern to factory specifications to prevent housing distortion. Refill the cooling system with recommended OEM-spec antifreeze mixture and perform a complete system air bleed via the bleeder screws to remove trapped air pockets before road testing.
