Description
This premium diesel fuel filter primer pump assembly (also known as the filter upper cover housing) is manufactured to strict factory original equipment standards to ensure optimal low-pressure fuel delivery and reliable system bleeding. Positioned directly on top of the diesel fuel filter canister within the engine bay, this integrated unit features a heavy-duty mechanical push-plunger pump and dual-directional pipe inlets/outlets. It is engineered to manually prime the fuel lines and evacuate trapped air bubbles after a routine filter swap or whenever the fuel system is drained. Constructed from premium treated zinc alloy or composite aluminum, it resists internal fuel corrosion, extreme under-bonnet heat cycles, and vacuum leaks. Replacing a cracked, sticking, or leaking primer assembly prevents hard starting, intermittent stalling, and fuel starvation, while safeguarding high-pressure common-rail components from catastrophic dry-cranking wear.
