Description

This complete replacement Variable Length / Tumbler Flap Intake Manifold Assembly is specifically engineered for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and SUVs equipped with M272 2.5L, 3.0L, and 3.5L V6 naturally aspirated petrol engines. The M272 engine relies on internal tumble flaps (swirl flaps) and dual-stage intake runner length changeover valves to balance low-RPM torque with high-RPM horsepower. Over time, original factory manifolds suffer from broken plastic actuator linkages, carbon buildup, or failing internal tumble flap runner shafts, triggering diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs P2004, P2005, or P2006) and causing engine hesitation or poor fuel economy. Manufactured with high-strength thermal-polymer composite housing and reinforced metal pivot actuator lever arms, this complete assembly restores full intake manifold runner flap operation and restores optimal engine torque and throttle response.
