Description

This precision-engineered Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Camshaft Sprocket Gear is designed for the MZR / Duratec petrol engines found across Mazda and Ford platforms. Positioned on the intake camshaft, it electronically adjusts the camshaft timing relative to the crankshaft based on engine load and RPM. Manufactured from high-tensile heat-treated alloy steel with precision-cut gear teeth and internal hydraulic valving, this unit restores precise valve timing, engine responsiveness, smooth acceleration, and fuel economy. Replacing a worn or malfunctioning VVT actuator sprocket eliminates engine timing rattle on startup, rough idling, loss of top-end power, and check engine light (CEL) timing correlation error codes (such as P0011 / P0012).
