Description

This premium heavy-duty raw-edge cogged power transmission V-belt (17AV profile / 17mm top width, 1387mm outer length) is manufactured to original equipment standards using fiber-reinforced polychloroprene synthetic rubber, deep molded cogs, and high-modulus polyester tension cords. Designed for high-stress commercial vehicle auxiliary drive systems (alternators, water pumps, cooling fans, and air compressors) as well as heavy industrial equipment, the raw-edge cogged construction provides outstanding flex fatigue resistance, enhanced airflow for cooler operating temperatures, and superior grip around small-diameter pulleys. Replacing a stretched, cracked, glazed, or slipping drive belt restores full electrical charging generation and cooling efficiency, eliminates screeching under heavy mechanical load, and prevents unexpected auxiliary drive failure.

Application Note: Specifically engineered for Isuzu TD50/TD53 heavy commercial platforms, transport trucks, and industrial diesel equipment requiring a heavy-duty 17AV (17mm top width) raw-edge cogged V-belt profile. Important Fitment Note: Clean all pulley grooves with a wire brush to remove rust, scale, oil, and rubber glaze prior to fitting. Inspect pulleys for uneven groove wear or misalignment. Do not force or lever the belt over pulley flanges with screwdrivers as this fractures internal tension cords; slacken the adjustment bracket or tensioner pulley completely, fit the belt, and adjust tension to factory deflection specifications (approx. 10–12 mm flex on the longest span under moderate thumb pressure). Re-check belt tension after 50 km or 5 hours of operation.
