Description

Application Note: Specifically engineered for Hyundai & Kia 1.4L 16-Valve DOHC Gamma engine platforms (G4FA engine code) with CVVT (Continuous Variable Valve Timing). (Note: Does not fit 1.2L Kappa G4LA engines). Important Fitment Note: Includes primary timing chain, hydraulic timing chain tensioner, fixed guide rail, tensioner slide rail, and lower crankshaft timing gear. Clean all timing cover gasket surfaces thoroughly and inspect the oil sump strainer for any broken plastic fragments from old guide rails before reassembly. Always use dedicated engine locking tools to set the camshafts and crankshaft at Top Dead Center (TDC) prior to tensioner release. Flush engine oil and replace the oil filter to maintain adequate hydraulic pressure for the tensioner.
