Description
This precision-engineered engine timing chain kit is manufactured to exact original equipment specifications to maintain absolute valve timing alignment and fuel injection pump synchronization across BMW 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder M-series turbodiesel engines. Constructed with heavy-duty, heat-treated alloy steel links and low-friction, high-density composite guide channels, this complete replacement kit is built to withstand high torsional stress, diesel vibration, and extreme oil temperatures. Replacing the timing chain system resolves cold-start diesel clatter, prevents timing drift, and guards against severe engine failure caused by chain elongation or guide rail fracture.

Application Note: Specifically engineered for BMW M47 (2.0L 4-Cylinder) and M57 (2.5L & 3.0L 6-Cylinder) M-series turbodiesel engines. (Note: Does not fit later N47 / N57 rear-mounted timing chain engines). Important Fitment Note: Includes upper camshaft timing chain, lower high-pressure fuel pump drive chain, hydraulic chain tensioners, tensioner guide rails, slide rails, and mounting hardware. Always inspect and clean the oil pump pickup screen in the engine oil sump for guide debris prior to assembly. Use dedicated BMW M47/M57 timing pins and camshaft locking blocks to set engine timing at Top Dead Center (TDC).
