Description
This direct-replacement hydraulic power steering pump is manufactured to precision OE standards to restore smooth, consistent steering assistance and hydraulic pressure in BMW diesel platforms. Built with a high-strength cast alloy housing and high-efficiency internal rotary vanes, this unit generates precise fluid flow and pressure to match factory power-assist characteristics. It directly replaces failing or noisy factory power steering pumps suffering from worn internal seals, shaft play, fluid bypass, or pulley bearing noise. Installing this replacement pump eliminates heavy steering resistance, low-speed hydraulic shudder, squealing accessory belts, and fluid aeration.

Application Note: Engineered exclusively for BMW 2.0L 4-cylinder (M47) and 2.5L / 3.0L 6-cylinder (M57) turbo-diesel engine platforms. Important Fitment Note: Thoroughly flush the power steering hydraulic circuit with fresh specification fluid before installation. Replacing the hydraulic fluid reservoir (which contains an integrated mesh filter) is recommended to prevent trapped metallic debris from entering and scoring the new internal pump vanes. Bleed trapped air from the hydraulic circuit by cycling the steering wheel lock-to-lock multiple times with the front wheels raised off the ground before starting the engine.
