Description
This heavy-duty hydraulic power steering pump is manufactured to exact original equipment specifications to restore smooth, consistent hydraulic power assistance and steering responsiveness in BMW 5-Series M52 and M54 6-cylinder models. Built with a precision-machined cast aluminium housing and high-efficiency internal rotary vanes, this unit maintains correct operating line pressure across the entire engine RPM band. It directly replaces worn, whining, or leaking factory power steering pumps caused by internal seal degradation, shaft play, or fluid cavitation. Replacing the pump resolves heavy steering effort, low-speed hydraulic shudder, fluid aeration, and belt squeal.

Application Note: Specifically engineered for BMW M52, M52TU, and M54 2.0L, 2.2L, 2.5L, 2.8L, and 3.0L naturally aspirated inline-6 petrol engine platforms. (Note: Excludes V8 M62/S62 engine models such as 535i, 540i, and M5). Important Fitment Note: Completely flush the power steering system with fresh ATF / Dexron III hydraulic fluid before installation. Replace the fluid reservoir (which contains an integrated non-serviceable mesh filter) to prevent old metallic contaminants from entering and scoring the new pump vanes. Bleed all trapped air by turning the steering wheel lock-to-lock multiple times with the front wheels elevated prior to starting the engine.
