Description

This precision-engineered engine timing chain kit is manufactured to exact original equipment specifications to deliver absolute valve timing accuracy and smooth camshaft operation across BMW 4-cylinder direct-injection engines. Application Note: Specifically engineered for BMW naturally aspirated N43 direct-injection 4-cylinder petrol engines (1.6L and 2.0L variants). (Note: Does not fit earlier N42/N46 Valvetronic non-direct injection engines or later N20 turbo engines). Important Fitment Note: Includes main timing chain, upgraded hydraulic tensioner, timing chain guide rail, slide rail, and lower crankshaft gear. When replacing the timing chain on N43 engines, drop and inspect the engine oil sump to clean out any broken plastic fragments from brittle old guide rails that may clog the oil pickup tube screen. Ensure BMW flywheel and camshaft locking tools are used to align engine timing at TDC during assembly.
